SALT LAKE CITY, April 5, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The University System of Maryland has signed a system-wide contract to select Kuali Research as its electronic research administration solution. The first five institutions to implement Kuali Research are the University of Maryland College Park, Towson University, University of Maryland Baltimore, University of Maryland Baltimore County, and Salisbury University. The contract will allow all Maryland System schools to be able to benefit from the advanced capabilities of Kuali Research and save money by working together.
Kuali Research is a product of the collaborative efforts of more than 40 institutions and is developed specifically for higher education. The Maryland System institutions will use the Kuali Research SaaS solution to streamline the maintenance and tracking of detailed information on research awards and subawards. Two of the institutions are long-standing members of the Kuali community. One institution is currently running Kuali Research on premise and is moving to the SaaS version.
