Tizeti Network Limited selects Cambium Networks wireless broadband connectivity solutions

Leading service provider selects cnPilot™ Wi-Fi access and ePMP™ distribution network

Rolling Meadows, Illinois and Lagos, Nigeria, December 21, 2017 – Cambium Networks™, a global leading provider of wireless broadband solutions, today announced that Tizeti Network Limited has selected its cnPilot™ enterprise Wi-Fi access networks with an ePMP™ fixed wireless infrastructure to upgrade and modernize their networks across Lagos, Nigeria.

Tizeti is one of the fastest growing Internet Service Providers in Nigeria offering unlimited, uncapped wireless broadband services. The company is backed by Y Combinator and recently closed a successful round of funding from various institutional investors.

Tizeti’s goal is to become the market leader, using disruptive technologies and operational strategies to offer cost effective yet high quality services. By employing solar-powered Wi-Fi towers, instead of using electricity from the grid or on-site generators, the company provides higher reliability and reduced OPEX. This initiative along with other company key services, like an outstanding customer support, have been a success, allowing them to offer affordable services.

“We were at a stage in our lifecycle where previous equipment we were using was susceptible to interference and needed equipment that was more resilient and continue to meet the demands of our uncapped internet service. After exhaustive tests, we decided to upgrade our network using Cambium’s ePMP for last mile connectivity and cnPilot for Wi-Fi coverage, because of their superior scalability and high performance in interfered spectrum,” says Kendall Ananyi, CEO of Tizeti. “The combination of ePMP and cnPilot allows us to further grow our network while giving us end-to-end operations visibility and control through the cnMaestro cloud-based management system, enabling us to meet and exceed customer and partner expectations. Our network modernization project is in full swing as we speak and is set to overhaul 100% our network.”

“Lagos is a rapidly expanding dense urban environment, both in terms of population and economy, but together with the high demand for data services come challenges,” said Ionut Croitoru, Regional Sales Manager of Cambium Networks. “One of these is the congested frequency spectrum, as the increasing number of ISPs and operators in the city compete for this limited resource. Cambium Networks cnPilot Wi-Fi platform is has emerged as a proven cost effective enterprise and public solution; enabled by its 802.11ac based performance, environmental durability ensured by its IP67 housing, and the flexibility of its cloud driven controller. When combined with an ePMP™ wireless backhaul and a common management system, cnMaestro, Cambium’s solution makes for a powerful cost effective rapidly deployable and scalable Wireless broadband solution. ISPs need to differentiate in today’s highly competitive market, and an integrated end-to-end solution reduces OPEX while increasing customer satisfaction. ePMP and cnPilot, integrated in cnMaestro for monitoring, optimization and control is the perfect solution, proven not only in emerging markets but also developed countries.”
