HUBER+SUHNER to showcase solutions for the most demanding applications at FTTH Conference 2018 in Valencia

The compact, practical and simple solutions portfolio is ideal for indoor and outdoor FTTH deployments

Herisau, 08 February 2018. Global connectivity supplier HUBER+SUHNER is set to showcase its new compact, practical and simple solutions portfolio, ideal for indoor and outdoor FTTH deployments, at this year’s FTTH Conference in Valencia, taking place February 13-15.

Among these solutions will be the latest extension to the Optibox family, the Optibox 12, a fiber optic distribution box for indoor solutions with a patch panel of up to 48 adaptors and midspan system for multi-tube distribution cables. The Optibox family offers a comprehensive portfolio to address a large variety of applications, from large apartment buildings to single family homes. With patching, splicing and splitting capabilities, the portfolio satisfies the most demanding of applications.

“Fiber to the Home and Fiber in the Home revolutionise the way we live, work and play, and the vast bandwidth capabilities of fiber optics has opened new doors for operators, service providers and developers who are eager to capitalise on the service delivery and revenue opportunities that only fiber can deliver,” said Kurt Misteli, Global Market Manager Fixed Network & Data Center at HUBER+SUHNER. “Our new Optibox family extension is perfect for these growing customer needs, as the need for speed and simplicity is essential in every location.”

Also on display will be the HUBER+SUHNER market-leading fiber optic connector, the new E-2000™, which features pre-assembled housing, increased performance thanks to a new design, and outstanding bending performance for pigtails. As well as this will also be HUBER+SUHNER’s wide array of solutions for Central Offices, outside plant, and Fiber in the Home. It’s vectoring solutions for the outside plant allow for the easy integration of new fibre into existing copper outside plant infrastructure, while its Central Office offering is suited to point-to-point services in the street, building and home customers.

To top it all off, HUBER+SUHNER will be introducing its new LISA 3rd Generation fiber trays, the side-facing connectivity blocks that are inserted into tray units within high-density Cable Distribution Racks (CDRs). Designed for speed of installation and improved accessibility, the LISA fiber trays can be installed and removed in under ten seconds, without any need for specialist tools or skills.

“FTTH is the shining star of the Next Generation Access network, and our portfolio is critical to users where speed and stability is essential. The FTTH Conference Europe is one of the most respected conferences of its kind and the most relevant event for us. With more than 3000 delegates from 96 countries, we look forward to showcasing our future-proofed solutions for current and new customers at the event,” added Misteli.
