London, UK February 12th 2018 – Small Cell Forum (SCF), the telecoms organization driving universal cellular coverage, today announced that the SCF Small Cell Awards 2018 are now open for entries.
The Awards, recognising outstanding achievement within, and contributions to the global small cell industry, take place on 22 May 2018 during SCWS World in London, the flagship global event for the small cell, Wi-Fi and DAS industry, held in exclusive partnership with SCF.
The SCF Small Cell Awards are open to the whole industry, not just SCF members, and they are judged independently by a panel of leading analysts, journalists and industry experts.
Chair of the judging panel Caroline Gabriel, founder and Research Director at Rethink Research, said: ‘The Small Cell Awards become more hotly contested each year, as the diversity and richness of the entries increases. The wide range of entries reflects the way that small cells now support so many aspects of the mobile business, enabled by a diverse ecosystem.
‘This year we have added special recognition for small cell solutions which address emergency or temporary requirements for connectivity, an area where they can make a real difference. Meanwhile, last year’s newcomer – the excellence in management software award – has been refined to include specific reference to automation, with this being an important theme for small cells and 5G.’
CEO of SCF, Sue Monahan added: ‘No doubt this year’s awards process will throw a light on more trends and key issues, and influence SCF policy and planning for the year ahead. This is just one of many reasons why organizations will benefit from taking part.
