SCF launches global industry event for the wireless connectivity industry in London this May

Small Cells World Summit 2019 will focus on 5G-Era densification strategies and technologies

London, UK 4th April 2019 – Small Cell Forum (SCF), the telecoms organization driving densification worldwide, has opened registration to Small Cells World Summit 2019, a learning and networking event for the wireless connectivity industry to be held in London, 21-22 May.

With event organiser Avren (Clarion) stepping back from the telecoms industry, SCF saw the opportunity to relaunch the London event, especially given the need for closer collaboration within the wireless industry with 5G on the horizon.

Small Cells World Summit, will take place on the same date and in the same location as Avren’s SCWS, at the Novotel West in London. Recognizing wireless connectivity as the ‘Fifth Utility’, Small Cells World Summit is a 2-day learning and networking event, and will be the ‘one-stop-shop’ for all things small cells, Wi-Fi, DAS and IoT as the technologies enabling network densification, coverage and capacity for 5G networks.

SCF is pleased to welcome respected executives from around the world to share knowledge, opinion and expertise on a range of key topics during the event. This will include global organization leaders, government representatives, and CEOs and CTOs from across the ecosystem, including MNOs, neutral hosts, SDOs, service providers and suppliers.

David Orloff, Chair of SCF, said: “As an industry we all have a shared and vested interest in many aspects of densification, how 5G is rolled out, and the regulations for deploying technologies to enable 5G. The small cell ecosystem is very much in a state of flux, with new players and technologies gaining traction.

“The purpose of this conference is to move our industry forward. It will provide a platform to share recent successes, recommend best practice as well as identifying and removing barriers to ongoing growth and development. At Small Cells World Summit we’ll be tackling all of the big topics relating to 5G and densification, and trying to form consensus on key issues in the industry.

Orloff added: “SCF quickly saw an opportunity to launch an event in which we could tailor a program using our industry knowledge and member insight that has a broad appeal across the wireless ecosystem. With input from our member MNOs, neutral hosts and vendors we have developed a broad agenda of topics from neutral hosting and disaggregated networks to smart cities and critical IOT comms with Edge Compute.”

Additional program topics include: shared spectrum (CBRS, LSA and License Exempt); 5G era small cell planning (mmWave, Beamforming, AI/ML), 5G barrier busting and light deployment legislation; indoor solutions and 5G readiness; and state of the market update, with our latest market research results.

The event will include the SCF Small Cell Awards gala dinner, which will take place on the evening of Tuesday 21st May. Delegate tickets are available individually or as a package. Tables may be purchased for a discounted rate.

Small Cells World Summit is currently offering a 15% Early-Bird discount, available until 10 April. More details can be found via www.smallcells.world
