WEST JORDAN, UTAH, Aug. 10, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Naag Tag, Inc.® (Name at a Glance) (http://www.naagtag.com), a leading Utah nametag and engraving company, will unite the community in support of Cystic Fibrosis (CF) by sponsoring their annual Cystic Fibrosis BBQ. All contributions will be donated to help CF research.
The event will be held on August 17, 2016 at Naag Tag’s office located at 6796 South Airport Road, West Jordan, UT 84084 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. It is open to the public and community.
“This is an annual event that we have hosted for nearly 10 years,” said Linda Lindeman, Owner, Naag Tag. “All of our employees, customers, family and friends look forward to this event each year. Supporting CF Research is very close to my heart as I have a grandson with CF.”
Naag Tag will cover all costs for the event. However, the company is requesting all attendees to contribute a $6 donation for the BBQ. All proceeds will be donated to the Utah Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
The company also hosts a scholarship contest to drive understanding of CF. The scholarship is offered annually with one $1,500 scholarship awarded each year to assist the winner with tuition and school related fees. Naag Tag’s scholarship team was pleased with all the essays for this year’s contest and personally read the essays that were submitted. It was obvious, when reading the entries, that CF has deeply affected many lives.
This year’s winner eloquently showed how CF has impacted their life both by the challenges it creates and the growth that can come by those who work to overcome those challenges. The winner for the 2016 scholarship will be announced at the BBQ.
“We chose to support CF at our annual BBQ and our scholarship because our first child has CF,” said Richard Lindeman, Vice President, Naag Tag. “Our son had some complications at birth and was rushed away from us minutes after he was born for a life-saving surgery. We were told the surgery was a success, but that he probably had Cystic Fibrosis.
Enoch, at 14, graduated from 8th grade and was the winner of one of his school’s highest honors. While his life has been speckled with hospital visits and organ & digestive problems, he continues to fight his disease.
Most people know him as a very small, but very smart, energetic young man. At the end of 9th grade, at only 15, he won a trip back east to compete on a national level for his academics. It has been very meaningful for me to work with a company that has worked so hard to support those with this disease.”
