InfiNet Wireless supports Avantec as it launches operations in Colombia

The official launch in Bogota allowed the company to showcase its value-added solutions and further develop relationships in the region

Bogotá, Colombia, 05 June. InfiNet Wireless, the global leader in fixed broadband wireless connectivity, has successfully supported leading integrator and key partner Avantec with its new office opening in Colombia, as part of an expansion drive to target growth in Latin America for both companies.

Attracting representatives from more than 40 key integrators specialising in telecommunications, video surveillance and smart cities, the event also saw end-users from local governments attend to share ideas and learn about the technology. The launch provided a space for executives from Mexico and Colombia to discuss InfiNet’s market leading solutions for the Colombian market and reflect on the firm’s long lifeline of projects in the region, as well as boost interest for the services Avantec now offers as a viable alternative.

The launch follows a milestone of more than 100 projects that InfiNet and Avantec have collaborated on since the partnership began in April 2014. With projects covering sectors like CCTV for sea ports, connectivity for universities and mobility for trucks, the Avantec Colombia launch will see even more success stories arise between the companies.

In his address to attendees, Carlos de Lamadrid, Business Development Manager LATAM at InfiNet Wireless said: “We are thrilled with the launch of Avantec’s operations in Colombia, and we are confident that Avantec will bring its extensive experience in the engineering and integration of different technologies, to help us continue to position InfiNet Wireless as the go-to industry leaders in professional wireless transmission.”

The conference also focused on special projects between the two companies in the key industry verticals in which InfiNet have a strong presence, including the upgrading of existing wireless infrastructure for salt suppliers from the mainland to the coast of Mexico. It was a chance to network with Avantec’s customers and highlight InfiNet’s solutions and plans for the region, as well as an opportunity to explain how InfiNet will support Avantec as it enters Colombian market.

“With the number of people connected to a mobile network in Latin America constantly increasing, it was only natural for us to launch operations in Colombia, and having InfiNet with us to support us on this journey represents our lasting and meaningful partnership,” said Daniel González, Head of Marketing at Avantec. “This kick-off has been extremely important to us as it gave us the opportunity to share our business strategy and model which has been generating value to our customers for more than 15 years.”
