Pfäffikon and Herisau, 17 September – Utilising different technologies and devices across radio frequency, low frequency and fiber optics, the “Connected Train” is a complete rail connectivity concept realised by HUBER+SUHNER, leading manufacturer of components and systems for optical and electrical connectivity. The company will showcase its extensive portfolio of components to streamline rail connectivity and reform passenger experience at InnoTrans 2018, 18-21 September, Berlin.

“This year our focus is on the “Connected Train” and what that truly means in practice for operators and customers. With rail operators striving for success in the digital age, we are calling on all train operators to consider and make use of the future-proof solutions we offer to fulfil their digital potential,” said Dr. Michael Styger, Head of Market Unit LF Railway at HUBER+SUHNER. “Current technology simply cannot facilitate the increasing on-board and to-ground demands operators are facing. The connectivity portfolio on display at InnoTrans 2018 is our answer to these challenges, including every aspect of the train networking and connectivity elements, whether it be within the train carriage itself or trackside.”

Truly a one-stop-shop for operators moving into the next generation of rail and rail connectivity, InnoTrans 2018 will see HUBER+SUHNER showcase energy, signal and data bus cables, as well as a number of antennas for train-borne and train-to-ground communication. The solutions on display provide a holistic view of the “Connected Train” concept.
