New service enables carriers to recover lost grey route revenue without inspecting traffic
DUBLIN and DALLAS, 25 May 2017 – AdaptiveMobile, the world leader in mobile network security, today launched ‘Global Brands Subscription Service’. The expansion of their core Grey Route Controls service capabilities leverages AdaptiveMobile’s global intelligence to enable carriers to identify and block unwanted international inbound grey route messages from Global Brands while addressing privacy concerns of regulators and subscribers.
Using non-invasive and automated techniques to manage relevant brands AdaptiveMobile’s Global Brands Subscription Service is specifically designed for carriers who wish to tackle inbound interconnect originated Grey Route traffic but are not able to inspect the traffic due to legal reasons. Many global carriers do not yet have the capabilities to monetise this traffic; and, with the Application to Person (A2P) SMS market expected to exceed $78 billion (USD) by 2022 this service will enable a wider spectrum in the market to recapture A2P messaging revenues and further protect against lost messaging revenue from subscribers and brands.
“Through analyses of global, real-world data across five continents, AdaptiveMobile has observed that every network is exposed to grey traffic; roughly 40% of grey route traffic belongs to international brands – and has the opportunity to be monetised,” said Ciaran Bradley, Chief Technology Officer of AdaptiveMobile. “This subscription cartridge will enable all carriers to detect, block and recapture revenues from international in bound grey route messages.”
AdaptiveMobile’s award-winning Network Protection Platform has been proven through deployment in over 75 networks, including some of the largest messaging environments. The Global Brands Subscription cartridge is comprised of thousands of confirmed grey route message signatures that have been identified by the Company’s industry-leading Threat Intelligence Unit across global client sites and other sources.
